Brilliant base for city break in Tioman island. Can recommend for everyone. Located within a walk to Mangrove area, which is about 400 feet away.

The hotel has approachable staff at the reception. It has an awesome secluded location close to eateries. - the resort is very close to the restaurant, souvenirs/duty free shop, convenience shop, jetty, and beach side.

The staff were extremely responsive and I truly enjoyed my brand-new room. the location was decent for Kampung Genting, close enough to Tioman for half a dozen times, the port and multiple convenience stores.

We enjoyed a pleasant and relaxing stay at a beachfront resort on Tioman Island. The location was perfect, away from the more commercialized area, right in front of the beach where we had easy access to swimming and water activities. The room was basic but comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was decent with standard choices. We also had the opportunity to explore the area and enjoy beautiful sunsets within walking distance from the resort.
Limited food variety for lunch and dinner options.

I think the staff can be more proactive when we ask for extension of stay. They just gave us the print out for published room rate, saying that this isvthe price they offer. Quite disappointed. So we did not stay for extra day although we would like to.

Location, however, will be nice anywhere on the island. The rooms look real nice, especially the outside. The spa is great!
No remote for a/c and tv. The cooker did not work. No beds on the beach, just a few chairs. Slow service in restaurant.

Quiet during the Monsoon season. Accomodating manager Good reception staffs
Less efficient service- especially room service. Lack of choices in the restaurant menu for vegetarians at the resort Lack of activity within the resort during the Monsoon season- did not mind it so much, because I was enjoying the peace but couldn't imagine what to do after a few days. It would not matter so much if it was a short stay.

1. The price was attractive due to low-season. 2. Staff was friendly. 3. Duty-free shop was open in spite of low-season (cheap alcohol!) 4. Restaurant was good with reasonable prices. 5. Chalets with view of the ocean. 6. In low-season the place is good for people without high expectations.
1. Hotel had no information on their website about frequency of ferries in low-season. 2. The general area of the resort as well as individual chalets and rooms are very run down and desperately need a refresh. The smell inside is a mix of humidity, fungus and oldness. 3. Reception was not very helpful with arranging activities. 4. Snorkeling in spite of low-season cost as much as in high-season (RM300 per boat) although the visibility is poor and the boat takes you to only 1 place with corals. The other two have no corals. 5. My 'promotion' price turned out to be the same as some other tourists got who just walked in without a reservation. 6. During high-season I would not be happy having to pay twice and get the same smelly room.
Tourists from United States of America often stay at these properties. Consider them for your next trip.
